Next, now that you're an expert, look into TES4Edit and how to clean your mods, hehe hehhhehehhe. You can launch BOSS right from inside Wrye Bash.

I made the usual custom 'Drain Health 100 for 1 second' broken spell, but when I tried it on an enemy his health didnt go back to full after the spell disappeared.

Learn how to use Wrye Bash to install your mods, a real good idea. Some mod makes my 'Drain Health' spells work as if they were 'Damage Health' instead. Now go ahead and install OBSE, since it won't hurt anything and it will be there if you get a mod that needs it. Now start installing your other mods, and use BOSS to order them each time. Disabling it from the data files prevents the crash. Through process of elimination it seems the esp for the unofficial patch for Knights of the Nine DLC is the cause. After enabling all the esps the game crashes when starting. Give it a test, it should work wonderfully. So I manually installed the three unofficial patches for Oblivion. Now install your unofficial patch, and have BOSS order everything. Next, get BOSS from the Nexus forums and install it. It will put everything that matters back nice and clean, without installing the entire game again. Then go into the "Data" folder below that, and delete everything including all the folders. The easiest way to do that, is go into the "Oblivion" folder, and delete all the FILES. Sometimes the best solution is to start clean. Without knowing your setup, I'd say you have mod order conflicts. (PS: Oblivion is somewhat better than Skyrim xD) It was slightly better but still no way like without UOP and since it's one of the most recommended mod, I can only conclude that I f*cked up somewhere but what ? Is there any lengthy - detailed tutorial that I may have skipped ?

No amount of adjusting the settings were able to do something (specs : i5-33xx, 8 giga, HD6870 / 1680*1050 AA8x)Īfter looting The Nexus, UESP and co, I tried numerous mods to help like OBSE, Wrye bash, OSR, Streamline and more, following tutorial and tweaking them their ini files or through the game. But inside, outside, day, night, rain, sun, you name it. It filled its purpose but there was a huge downside, the game became unplayable, stuttering like crazy (FPS drop or real stutter, don't know). The UOP purpose was to correct that, to be able to finish the quest. So, in one quest of the Thieves Guild, you have to denounce some informant to the guard and follow them into the house of said informant to arrest her.
